TVS Motor company December sales at 170,428 units

TVS Motor Company registered total sales of 170,428 units for the month of December 2011 against 171,790 units in December 2010. The company’s cumulative sales for the period of April to December 2011 grew by 10pc with sales of 1,670,040 units against 1,512,896 units recorded in the previous comparable period. Two Wheeler Total two wheeler sales stood at 167,905 units in December 2011 in comparison with 168,359 units recorded in December 2010. Scooters grew 7pc recording sales of 44,804 units compared to 41,804 units recorded in December 2010. Motorcycles sales registered 56,662 units in December 2011 against 61,414 units in December 2010. Domestic two wheeler sales of the company reported sales of 146,747 units in December 2011 against 149,357 units reported in December 2010. Exports Exports registered a growth of 6pc with total sales of 22,481 units in December 2011 against 21,121 units in the same month of the previous year. The company’s two wheeler exports grew by 11pc recording sales of 21,158 units in December 2011 in comparison with 19,002 units in December 2010. Three Wheeler The company sold 2,523 units of three wheelers in December 2011 against 3,431 units in the same month of the previous year. Cumulative three wheeler sales for the period of April 2011 to December 2011 stood at 32,047 units, a growth of 15pc over the same period of the previous year.
